MSU HealthTeam welcomes our newest faculty member, Ryan Thomas, MD. A Michigan native, Dr. Thomas received his undergraduate degree at MSU's Lyman Briggs College in Astrophysics. Dr. Thomas most recently completed his fellowship at the prestigious Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Here, Dr. Thomas gained experience in the treatment of respiratory illness with special interest in cystic fibrosis, rare lung disorders, and the treatment of pulmonary complications of neuromuscular disease such as spinal muscular atrophy.

A champion of correct antibiotic dosing for cystic fibrosis patients, he has participated in quality improvement projects, and presented nationally on the topic. His fellowship research studied the potential link between the acetaminophen and the development of asthma in children.

Ryan Thomas, MD, joins our multi-specialty group as a Pediatric Pulmonologist. He is adding to our complement of 260 providers performing cutting-edge research, teaching medical and nursing students, and providing exceptional care to the Greater Lansing community.

Ryan Thomas, MD, is a pediatric pulmonologist who provides care to the public at MSU Specialty Clinics' Cystic Fibrosis Center and Pediatric Pulmonology in East Lansing. Read more about the practice on the clinic page.
